Historic day as Jenny wins GB’s first snow event medal
Jenny Jones was left struggling to comprehend her historic achievement of becoming Britain’s first Winter Olympics medallist in a snow event after claiming bronze in the snowboard slopestyle in Sochi yesterday.
At 33, Jones, from Bristol, was the oldest entrant in the final of the competition by more than six years.
But she showed all the experience she has gathered over the years with a phenomenal last run that earned her a podium spot.
