MSPs to consider future of local government
The future of Scotland’s councils will be considered by a Holyrood committee later this year.
The Local Government and Regeneration Committee’s inquiry – expected to open in April – will look at issues such as flexibility, autonomy and constitutional and funding arrangements.
It will also consider how councils engage with the public, as well as turnouts at local elections.
