Simulating golf to a tee
Published:
AS THE north-east of Scotland looks forward to being home to several luxury golf resorts, the recently opened golfscape, an indoor golfing facility housed on Aberdeen’s Union Street, has given golfers of all abilities the perfect opportunity to practise their swing, come rain or shine.
golfscape is an interactive indoor golf venue housing five golf simulators, conference facilities, a chic events lounge and bar.
Friends, colleagues or companies can compete against each other using the simulators’ built-in challenge games. The advanced software allows for complete customisation of the gaming environment, including course and weather conditions.
Players use standard golf clubs and balls and strike the ball as hard as they normally would on an outdoor course. All elements of the ball flight are tracked by the built-in infrared sensors, including flight angle, ball speed and spin.
Video swing-analysis software analyses your swing, giving the best advice on how to improve it and, ultimately, your game.
