A FUND used to bring cancer-stricken Chernobyl children to the UK for health checks and a holiday has received a boost from its Aberdeen link.

John Lewis staged a spring fashion show at its store in the city.

Back on the catwalk was former model Clare Penny, of Banchory, better known now as an artist and musician with her own ceilidh band.

Organiser Anne Iravani said the fashion show raised £687 and the money will be used to bring 12 children to Aberdeen in July when they will stay with host families.
