YOUNG people intent on showing they have business know-how had their efforts rewarded at a dinner in Aberdeen’s Marcliffe Hotel.

Six finalists from schools in the city and round about had taken part in a competition run by Young Enterprise Grampian (YEG).

It was won by a team called Jasmine, from the city’s Albyn School, who sold herbal products.

They go through to the Scottish final on June 17-18.

Speakers at the dinner, expertly hosted by YEG chairman Ian Phillips, were American millionaire Doug Richard, a guru on the BBC’s Dragons’ Den TV series, and Jellyellie, a 17-year-old business entrepreneur and published author.
