THird Division rough and tumble has Zander primed
Sutherland raring to go for Caley Thistle

Zander Sutherland believes the brutal nature of football in the Third Division and the management style of Elgin’s Robbie Williamson has readied him for a return to life in the SPL with Caley Thistle.
The 20-year-old midfielder spent most of the season on-loan at Elgin City.
Borough Briggs manager Williamson told the Wick-born player to express himself on the pitch and his consistent displays helped push the Moray side to the verge of the play-offs.
Sutherland signed a new one-year deal with Inverness on Tuesday and is confident of breaking into Craig Brewster’s team next term.
He said: “Being away at Elgin was brilliant even though it was quite scary working under Robbie Williamson sometimes.
“I have definitely developed as a player playing every Saturday, as I was used to sitting on the bench and maybe making a couple of appearances over a season. “I have gained experience and my crossing has improved a lot.
“I had quite a lot of hefty tackles thrown at me but it spurs me on.
“Robbie encouraged me to take on players and to try to spur the players on to get results every week.
“The hairdrier did come out a couple of times but I did enjoy it. It was totally different, things were kicked across the changing room and some of the things said were quite outrageous.
“That’s the way it is in the Third Division.”
“It is brutal and you have to accept what the manager says.
“I can definitely play in the SPL and if I get an opportunity next season I will take it and keep others out of the team.
“Next season I will be gunning for a game, if not I will be chapping on the manager’s door.”
The 19-year-old midfielder, Iain Vigurs, who also penned a new one-year deal at Caledonian Stadium, is equally optimistic about his future at the Caley Jags.
The Aberdonian said: “I am confident in my ability and I think if I work hard in training enough, hopefully, I will get my chance.
“We have a lot of good, young players and the future is bright.
“It is a lot easier if you have a lot of good players coming through the youth system.”
