THE disproportionate power of celebrity was demonstrated perfectly yesterday when a report revealed that an award was given to Ant and Dec when they had not won the most votes.

While the authors cannot say for sure, there is a suspicion that they got the gong because Robbie Williams would agree to present an award only if it was to them.

Knowing what to believe on TV these days is like trying to tell which one is which between Ant and Dec.

Perhaps there should be a break from all awards for a few years. Anyone like to vote for that?
