High-flying Lossiemouth hope to maintain record

HIGHLAND at home to Elgin looks the pick of the North League games this weekend.

Champions Highland have started the season well and Elgin, even in defeat, put in an excellent performance against title favourites RAF Lossiemouth.

The Lossiemouth airmen visit Nairn and it will be a surprise if they were to lose their 100% record at The Links.

Forres St Lawrence were given a tough two opening fixtures and may find things easier at Huntly.

Fochabers have Ross County as visitors to Castle Park and County’s lack of activity may cost them.

Buckie will go up the Enzie Braes to Keith boosted by their win against Nairn. Keith are in a similar position to Ross County with not much playing time under their belts.

RAF Kinloss’ title chances have already been written off and their opponents at the air base, Northern Counties, have yet to show that they will be challengers.

FIXTURES – TOMORROW

NORTH LEAGUE – Fochabers v Ross County, Highland v Elgin, Huntly v Forres St Lawrence, Keith v Buckie, Nairn County v RAF Lossiemouth, RAF Kinloss v Northern Counties.

Hampshire can press on with plans for the £45million development of the Rose Bowl, after receiving the final go-ahead. The English county confirmed that a Government review has ratified the unanimous approval which was granted in March.
