Brewster’s delight as Niculae makes Romania squad
AND INVERNESS MANAGER TO DECIDE THIS WEEK WHETHER TO OFFER Wyness and Wilson NEW DEALS

INVERNESS forward Marius Niculae has been named in the provisional Romania squad for the European championship finals.
Romanian manager Victor Piturca chose the attacker, who will turn 27 tomorrow, as part of his 26-man squad.
Niculae, who has netted 10 goals for the Caley Jags this season, scored and set up a goal in friendly win against Russia in March and now looks likely to be included in Piturca’s final squad of 23 for Austria and Switzerland.
Inverness manager Craig Brewster said: “Everyone at the club is delighted for Marius and it is a just reward for his contribution this season.
“He has scored some good goals and has caught the eye on many occasions with his obvious talent.”
Brewster is in talks with the out of contract duo of Dennis Wyness and Barry Wilson and will decide whether to offer the pair new deals before the final game of the season against St Mirren on Saturday.
The Paisley club has already registered its interest in Wyness and manager Gus MacPherson said: “We have still heard nothing back from Dennis Wyness’s representatives, but we are at the same stage with one or two other player inquiries, so it is part of the procedure.”
Caley Thistle, meanwhile, will give children under eight free season tickets in an attempt to boost attendances at the Caledonian Stadium next season.
Inverness have raised the price of all other season tickets by just £10 for the 2008-2009 campaign. Season briefs go on sale at 10am today and the club’s chief executive Mike Smith said: “We believe we are the first club in the SPL to do this.
“It is important to boost the average attendance at the club and this initiative is not looking to bring in money, it is to increase the wider support for the club.
“There is a £10 increase on all adult season tickets, which is 50p a game and we think we have one of the most competitively priced season tickets in the league.”
Season tickets in the main stand are priced at £340 for adults, £215 for pensioners and students, £140 for children (under 16) and £290 for adults, £160 pensioners and students and £90 for children in the north stand.
Season tickets in the family enclosure are priced at £210 for adults, £110 for pensioners and students and £70 for children.
To qualify for the free under-eight season ticket a child must be born on or after August 9, 2000, and must be accompanied by an adult.
The under-eight season brief is valid for all SPL games excluding those against Celtic and Rangers.
