Dundee move to bring back Douglas

DUNDEE are poised to bring goalkeeper Rab Douglas back to Dens Park.

The 36-year-old made his name playing with the Dark Blues in the 1990s before winning a £1million move to Celtic and a place in the Scotland team. He has found life difficult since joining Leicester three years ago and is looking for a move back north of the border.

Douglas, who is married to the daughter of former Dundee owner Peter Marr, has met Dens Park officials and could sign on as early as this morning.

Dundee manager Alex Rae is also on the trail of several other players, with former Kilmarnock man Gary Holt and Livingston’s attacker Robert Snodgrass at the top of his list.

Holt has spent the last seven years in England with Norwich, Nottingham Forest and Wycombe Wanderers. Snodgrass is out of contract and free to sign, although compensation would need to be paid to the Lions because of his age.
