ruckus was over fears for his son

A SELF-EMPLOYED father committed a breach of the peace out of concern for his son, Inverness Sheriff Court heard yesterday.
Solicitor John McColl told the court that Thomas Fraser, 33, of 25 Stratherrick Gardens, Inverness, had been returning his son to his wife, whom he is separated from, when he spotted two dogs in the house.
Mr McColl said: “Previous to 2007 their son had been bitten by a dog which had been staying with the family and he required hospital treatment.”
He added that Fraser accepted that he was a bit upset when he saw the dogs and asked his estranged wife about it and got no response. Mr McColl said: “The man who was there effectively butted in and said he could have dogs there if he wanted. Fraser’s concern was for his children.”
He added that Fraser told Graham MacKay to shut up and said he would break his nose. Mr McColl said it was an isolated incident.
Fraser pleaded guilty to committing the breach of the peace at Tingle Creek, 5 Loaneckheim, Kiltarlity, on March 16 this year.
Sheriff Linda Smith fined Fraser £225.
