four in talks over new deals

ROBBIE Williamson is content to work without a contract as manager of Elgin City next season, but will sign a deal with a club for the sake of assistant Kenny Gilbert.
The pair took the Borough Briggs side to the brink of the Third Division play-offs last term.
Williamson will put pen to paper before the new season begins, along with Gilbert, to formally commit himself to Elgin.
He said: “There are contract offers on the table for both Kenny and I. I have never been one to sign contracts before. But I feel it is only fair Kenny signs a contract as he was on one at his previous club Deveronvale.
“We have spoken to the club about it, but that is as far as it has gone. I don’t really work with contracts, but I understand the club wanting to secure us.”
Williamson is in talks with David Niven, Ally Ridgers, Steven Mackay and Jason Crooks about new deals at Borough Briggs.
He added: “I am trying to see who is available and the one or two we have been interested in knocked us back because of the travelling.
“It looks like being another season, like last, of relying on our full-time friends in Inverness and Dingwall.”
One of Peterhead’s longest-serving players is being targeted by a clutch of Highland League clubs after being released by the Blue Toon.
Iain Good, who joined the Balmoor club in 2003 from Forfar at the same time as Martin Bavidge, will make a decision on his future when he returns from holiday next week.
The former Aberdeen youth team player, who made 101 appearances for Peterhead, said: “The main thing is to be back playing again regularly after a stop start season for me.”
Three Highland League teams have expressed aninterest in the 30-year-old former Arbroath defender.
