new club in league

Welcome to latest SFL signing

Published: 04/07/2008

EVERYONE will welcome Annan Athletic to the SFL, but it was hard lines on Cove Rangers, who gave them a run for their money with a strong bid. Given Gretna’s spectacular rise and fall, Annan must be viewing their entry to Division Three with a mixture of excitement and trepidation.

But the club seems to have a sensible approach to things. Take chairman Henry McClelland, for example, who said “our feet are firmly on the ground” and “we only spend what we can afford”. He’ll be telling us next he takes each game as it comes.
