A GROUP of young entrepreneurs from the Black Isle are celebrating once again after scooping a European award for their healthy-eating business.
Despite the team from Fortrose Academy narrowly missing out on the Overall Award, they were awarded the FedEx Global Impact Award for their fridge magnet and book that encourages youngsters to eat healthily.
The award at the Young Enterprise European Finals in Stockholm acknowledges a comprehensive understanding of global trade.
The team, called Dimension, have already scooped a range of top prizes in Highland, Scottish and UK heats of the Young Enterprise competition.
In Sweden they were judged by a panel of business people on their financial results, teamwork, marketing and sales strategies, company presentation and product.
Stuart Miller, chief executive of Young Enterprise Scotland, said: “Young Enterprise Scotland is delighted to have a company compete in Europe for the second time in the past five years.
“Dimension has done fantastically well to win the Global Impact Award and thoroughly deserves its success. Their product is simple, but very effective.
“They are a fantastic example to all budding young entrepreneurs and testament to what can be achieved. We wish them every success with their business in the future.”
After their UK and European exposure, the team plan to set up their business as a limited company and are currently negotiating a small business grant from Strathclyde University, where five of the team have secured places for next year.
