Sister of Skye bunkhouse blaze victim says she feared for her life
The sister of a German student killed in a fire on Skye yesterday told a court how she feared for her life when smoke engulfed their bedroom.
Katrin Schwenger, 29, of Frankfurt, was giving evidence at the second day of the fatal accident inquiry at Portree Sheriff Court into the death of her sister Alexandra, 23.
Miss Schwenger had been staying at Bellevue Bunkhouse at Kyleakin, owned by Christopher Tipping, when a blaze broke out in the early hours of Sunday, April 16, 2006.
