Broadcasting the digital revolution
FOR years, Alan Cowie could hardly walk along the street without being recognised, such was the familiarity of his face.
As one of only three Aberdeen-based newshounds on Grampian TV during the 1970s, he was instantly recognisable as the roving reporter who dashed around the country covering events across Scotland.
Today, he’s dashing around the north of Scotland once more, this time keeping audiences in the picture about what the digital switchover means to them.
