Alternative methods

After becoming a well-known face in the UK capital and many Londoners claiming they have “just been Liliased”, alternative medicine practitioner Lilias Ahmeira has arrived in Aberdeen to encourage abundant and flourishing health, writes Claire McBain

I’M VERY different from most practitioners I’ve come across,” laughs Lilias Ahmeira, who uses techniques such as electronic gem therapy and the very powerful Automatic Response Testing to target the cause of a person’s problem as opposed to just their symptoms.

“The only way to treat a long-term symptom is to look at the root cause. Otherwise, it will just come back again,” said Lilias.

“I test for things that others don’t, for example allergies can be caused by solvent poisoning, parasites and fungi. You need to address why you have the allergy in the first place, not just treat it. Labels like this restrict how you can support a client.”

However, these methods aren’t just about physical aspects.

“The mind can sabotage the body’s ability to be well. You need to sort out the mind and the body will follow,” explains Lilias.

Lilias, who is based at Rubislaw Terrace, has always had an interest in alternative medicine and this was enhanced while attending London’s College of Psychic Studies where, within a year of arriving, she was teaching. From here she became interested in magnets, and was the first accredited magnet therapist in the country.

Ten years later, her range of services has expanded and now Lilias is the only European practitioner of vocal profiling, a technique she became involved in due to her autistic son.

Vocal profiling enables her to look at the biochemistry of the body, for example how many autistic genes he has and how they can be addressed.

“All I need is a 30 second voice recording to provide a complete holographic representation of that person’s health, such as muscles, nerves and viruses. To address problems, I put low analogue sounds into a little box and the client listens to them through the night. Sounds are made on the computer and programmed in – it’s a bit like a recipe,” laughed Lilias.

Tilly Graham, Lilias’ assistant has first hand experience of this. With a serious problem of high blood pressure, it took her only a month to notice a difference in her health, feeling free of palpitations and that her face colouring had returned to normal.

However, vocal profiling is not restricted to physical problems – Lilias’ American counterparts have a contract with the government to treat US army soldiers returning from service with post traumatic stress disorder with Vocal Profiling to avoid resorting to mind-suppressing drugs.

Other areas of expertise include electronic gem therapy which involves filling a lamp with precious stones and shining it straight on to the body. “It can change energy of an organ in about 20 minutes,” said Lilias.

“For example, with a breathing problem I would shine the lamps on the back and front of the lungs and on the spleen for extra support. I had an ‘old age brigade’ in London who, after several sessions under the lamps, would go through most of winter without flus and colds. It can even give a detox after a hangover,” she laughed.

“Automatic response testing is one of my main loves. It measures light emissions from DNA to find the root cause of a problem. In a case of IBS, it is likely that the cause is parasites so we would do a parasitic cleanse instead of taking anti-spasmodic pills,” she explained.

“Biological Terrain Management is similar but uses urine and saliva analysis as a tool to look at the biological terrain of the body in real time.”

Lilias’ methods have been successful south of the border, with clients ranging from homeless people to the rich and famous, but not forgetting her frequent work with children.

“I see a lot of children with special needs, ADHD, eczema and asthma. I play the complete clown when children come in because I don’t want to be a doctor in a white coat,” said Lilias, who has three boys of her own.

After perfecting these methods over the past 10 years, Lilias decided to swap the bright lights of London for the beautiful Scottish scenery. Since arriving in the north-east in May last year, she has been extremely busy with clients, particularly due to being a member of Aberdeen’s Chamber of Commerce. Although she is occasionally met with cynicism from those who are not aware of what she can achieve, this never lasts past their first visit.

“I’ve used all of my methods on myself – I’m no good to anyone unless I’m in tip top condition,” said Lilias.

“Everything I do is quantifiable and based in medical science. I’m a bridge between the medical world and complimentary world.

“I walk my talk, I live my talk and I couldn't imagine living any other way – I love it.”
