Lonely hearts play happy families

Published: 10/10/2008

IT is a tale of tragedy, heartbreak and triumph over adversity. Mork the marmoset had his heart broken when his pregnant partner died in a fire. He gave up and almost succumbed to starvation.

But his life was transformed when he met partially blind Mindy at the 2wit 2woo animal rescue centre at Huntly.

Even though it was thought she only had weeks to live, Mork managed to nurse her back to health.

Now they are proud parents . . . of twins.
