Higgins frustrated with substitute role
dingwall striker wants to see his name on the starting line-up

SEAN Higgins admits he will have to consider his future at Ross County if he continues to be left out of Derek Adams’s starting line-up.
The 24-year-old has been forced to watch from the bench as Steven Craig and Dyron Daal have formed a potent partnership at Victoria Park.
After starting the season by scoring against St Johnstone in a 2-1 Challenge Cup victory, Higgins has been largely used as a substitute this term.
He has come off the bench to score against Morton and Clyde and is desperate to start at First Division leaders St Johnstone today.
He said: “It has not been great for me this season, I have just tried to keep my head down and work hard.
“When I have come off the bench I have tried to make an impression. So far it has not really happened as I have been on the bench in eight of the last 10 games.
“As a striker in order to play you need to get goals and it was pleasing to get the goal last week. Hopefully, I will be in the team this weekend.”
Higgins will be out of contract in May and has a big decision to make.
He said: “I have been at the club for over six years and it has got to a stage where I need to start playing games.
“There is a long time left in the season but come January if I am not in the team it is something I will really need to think about.
“I will need to sit down with the manager and work something out.
“I can’t keep getting 10 minutes here or there when I am 24-years-old, I am not getting any younger.
“I have been here more than six years and have played around 200 games so I have experience despite my age.
“I am looking to play 90 minutes week-in, week-out, and, hopefully, that will happen. If not I will have to weigh up my options.”
