Miller mighty as Aluko and Considine strike for Dons

ABERDEEN attacker Lee Miller shrugged off the disappointment at his omission from George Burley's Scotland squad to face Argentina by last night helping the Dons claim their second victory of the season at Pittodrie with a 2-0 win against St Mirren.
Miller was yesterday left out of Burley's 26-man squad to take on Diego Maradona's side at Hampden a week today despite impressing for Aberdeen.
The 25-year-old was selected for the national squad that faced the Czech Republic at the end of last season but he was unable to accept the invitation because the match coincided with his wedding day.
The former Falkirk and Dundee United attacker was typically industrious against St Mirren as Aberdeen claimed maximum points in a dreadful encounter thanks to late goals from Andrew Considine and Sone Aluko, much to the relief of the home supporters.
The match was watched by a season-low attendance of 9,452 fans, who were growing increasingly impatient until Considine's stunning 80th-minute intervention before Aluko grabbed a second with three minutes remaining.
The pressure was on Jimmy Calderwood's side after the weekend defeat at Dundee United halted an unbeaten three-match run and, although it was a poor match, the points were warmly welcomed by home side.
The match was delayed by almost 10 minutes because of an accident in the city.
Both sides toiled and just as the match seemed destined to remain goalless, Mark Kerr burst into the penalty area and cut back for Considine, who emphatically fired high into the net from just inside the box before Aluko put the result beyond doubt.
