Michty, no need to mind read, here's a quote from the news piece in today's P&J: "Before the general election last May, Sir David said a Tory victory would be in the long-term interests of the country. Yesterday he said he remained in favour of the union – but backed Mr Salmond." So we know that Murray is still committed to the Union. So why would he support the SNP unless he knew that the union was safe under the SNP?
