The problem being with your assertions is the road infrastrucure in the vicinity Concerned Citizen. Perhaps you have never attempted to travel to/from Balmedie to Aberdeen at the peak period. All such developments have a small number of well paid senior staff, with the majority being lowly waged. In regard to council tax revenues: Yes, those will be beneficial, but a local income tax would undoubtedly be much more beneficial given, under the present system, the poorest in society pay a larger proportion of their income in taxation. In an ideal world, local suppliers would benfit; in reality, the lowest bid gets any contract. Local suppliers have great difficulty in matching the price quote by the larger multinationals.
