Strong young shoulders bearing the burden of caring
IT COULD have been Glastonbury or T in the Park. The sun shone, there were tents scattered as far as the eye could see, Coldplay blaring from loudspeakers and young people in colourful wellies who spilled, in small groups, this way and that.

Our post offices don’t deserve this death by 1,000 cuts
IF YOU asked me for my favourite place in the world, I would have to say it was the post office. Not just any post office, but the one near my home in Colinton Village, Edinburgh. I go there to post parcels. I go there to buy cards, wrapping paper, stamps, presents and, if I am honest, just for the chat.
