Myles Stephenson will reunite with I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here campmate Kate Garraway when he joins Good Morning Britain for a guest stint as a showbiz reporter.

The Rak-Su singer will fill in for entertainment editor Richard Arnold from Monday until January 3.

He said: “I’m very excited to join the GMB team for the next few days. It’s a fantastic way to end the year, and an even better way to start the new one. It’s a new, exciting adventure. I hope I do myself proud.

“I’ve spoken to Kate about it. She told me to be myself and not to over think, have fun. I saw Richard Arnold too and he told me the same thing, just to enjoy it.”

Garraway recently overslept for the first time in her 20-year career, missing her first day back at work after she returned from Australia, and Stephenson said: “I’ve heard it’s a 4am call, so there won’t be too many drinks at New Year. I’ll set 10 alarms, so I don’t pull a ‘Kate Garraway’ and oversleep. Maybe I’ll sleep with the light on too.”

The duo became close friends while they were in the Australian jungle for the reality show and Stephenson said: “I’ve definitely missed all the campmates, especially Kate. I was really close to her in the jungle. It’s always nice to see her, she has a good energy.

“I never called them friends from the start, all the campmates are family. You’re in such close quarters from the get go, you find out everything. We’re all still really close.

“There’s a group chat and we’re all involved. Some message more than others but the group speaks every day.

“Nice to see them all again, I’ve seen Roman [Kemp] and James [Haskell] and spoken to Ian [Wright] on FaceTime. I’ve actually seen Kate the most, two or three times.”

Garraway added: “I’m so excited to be reunited with my campmate, Myles.

“He has always been fascinated by all areas of entertainment and definitely knows his music, so I am sure he will be a brilliant guest entertainment editor.

“And as we know from I Am A Celebrity, he’s a great chef, even making the weird stuff we ate in the jungle taste delicious, so the whole crew is looking forward to seeing what kind of breakfasts he whips up!”
