The search is on to find the best product made using either Scotch Beef, Scotch Lamb or Specially Selected Pork.
Red meat levy body Quality Meat Scotland (QMS), which oversees the three brands, has thrown its weight behind the Scotch Brand Product of the Year category at the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2020.
QMS said the award offers the opportunity to celebrate the innovation, enthusiasm and commitment of those retailing Scotch meat products.
“McCaskie Butchers in Wemyss Bay won Scotch Brand Product of the Year last year for their amazing McCaskie Unsmoked Back Bacon using Specially Selected Pork,” said QMS director of marketing and communications, Lesley Cameron.
“We look forward to awarding another exceptional product from a business that is proud to retail Scotch brand products with a commitment to quality.”
Products eligible for entry for the award must contain a minimum meat content of 25% and be made from Scottish beef, lamb or pork.
The deadline for applications is February 14.
