A north-east housebuilder is to employ eight new members of staff following a fifth consecutive year of record group revenue and profit.

The new members will join four recent appointments to Cala Homes’ Aberdeen team, substantially increasing the office headcount since the summer.

The new positions are expected to contribute towards a pipeline of new developments and the housebuilder’s continued search for land opportunities throughout Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

The firm recently appointed a new commercial manager, engineering manager, marketing assistant and assistant engineer and is now on the lookout for a surveyor, customer experience manager, maintenance manager, PA/office manager, sales adviser, site manager, assistant site manager and architectural manager.

When the new roles are filled the Aberdeen headcount will reach a total of 58.

Mike Naysmith, managing director, said: “The opening of eight new positions within the north office, combined with the four recent recruits, indicates a positive outlook for both Cala and the housebuilding industry in Aberdeen.

“The growth in live sites and search for new land goes hand-in-hand with the further recruitment of quality personnel within each of their specialisms,” added the managing director.
