Ross-shire firm Sureclean is investing £3million in its equipment fleet to support domestic and international operations.
The move comes just months after a US takeover of the business.
Sureclean, which has its headquarters in Alness as well as a site in Whitecairns, Aberdeenshire, carries out in industrial cleaning for the oil and gas, petrochemical, renewable-energy, utility, civil engineering and construction sectors.
Some of its latest investment is being spent on upgrading its sophisticated camera technology, including the purchase of five next generation robotic crawler systems for inspections and maintenance.
The company is also investing heavily in its range of equipment, including breathing air compressors, personal and area gas monitoring equipment and portable lighting, specicically designed for operations in confined spaces.
Projects director Alan Stewart said: “Our investment in our camera systems has allowed us to expand our inspection capabilities and continue to support our clients using the latest technology.
“The versatility within our camera fleet allows us to carry out this service within hazardous areas, confined spaces and underwater.”
Launched in 1985, Sureclean employs more than 130 people and has operational facilities in the UK and Egypt.
The firm specialises in high-pressure/ultra high-pressure water jetting and waste material handling technologies.
Earlier this year, it was snapped up by a US-based industrial services group for an undisclosed amount.
National Response Corporation (NRC) said the fast-growing company, which in 2013 enjoyed record-breaking turnover, with the figure up by 40% to £22million, was a “strategic fit”.
NRC is backed by US private equity firm JF Lehman and Company, which focuses on acquiring firms in the defence, aerospace and maritime sectors.
