An Inverness firm that specialises in electronic point of sale systems has won contracts in England and Holland in the first quarter of the year.

ICR Solutions, which also has a base in Stirling, has been awarded a contract for a chain of I’ll Be Mother fine dining restaurants in and around London. They have also landed a contract with Qbic Hotels of London and Amsterdam.

The contracts will involve the company fitting more than 150 EPOS systems web-linked to “the cloud”, and undertaking online monitoring and maintenance.

Qbic offer a budget boutique design which is affordable yet with a cool and futuristic approach.

Back in their home territory, ICR has just been selected as supplier to the Eilean Donan Castle visitor centre.

This year, ICR Solutions has installed systems in the Rocpool Reserve Hotel, Inverness; Inverlochy Castle at Fort William; and Inch Hotel, Fort Augustus. They also fitted the terminals for Cromlix Hotel, Dunblane, owned by tennis star Andy Murray.

The firm are currently upgrading systems at Dunvegan Castle, Skye, for Macleod Estates, and have upgraded the Isle of Benbecula hotel for Isles Hotels Group.

In addition, the firm is installing systems for a new cocktail bar at Queensgate, Inverness, and have upgraded the systems for owner Scott Murray’s other bars at Bar One, Dows and The Keg, all in Inverness and the Eagle Tavern in Dornoch.

ICR Solutions chalked up a £780,000 turnover in 2014, up from £200,000 when managing director, Alan Murphy acquired the firm four years ago. The firm currently employs eight people in Inverness plus two in Stirling.

Mr Murphy said: “Our growth and enhanced client profile is tribute to our emphasis on quality and innovation, with our Aloha NCR systems, customised by us to each client’s needs, being a market-leading product.

“Our proven end-to-end solutions provide retailers with the control and insight they need to fully manage their operations and make innovative, real-time decisions.”

ICR also supplies the retail and hospitality clubs plus leisure outlets such as the Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St Andrews.
