Two more speakers have been added to the panel due to put the prospects of north-east businesses under the spotlight at a Press and Journal Morning Briefing in Aberdeen next month.
Five high-profile panellists will take part in the event – Securing the future of the North-East: Making the Most of Your Financial Year, on Friday, March 23.
Alexander Garden, Jennifer Craw and Geoff Aberdein were already confirmed to speak, and now Chris Foy, chief executive of Visit Aberdeenshire, and Kirsty Blackman, MP for Aberdeen North, have been added to the line-up. Mr Foy has more than 25 years of tourism industry experience and has previously held positions at the former London Tourist Board and at Visit Britain.
As head of Visit Britain’s 2012 Olympic Games unit, he led the implementation of a strategy to spread the tourism benefits of the Olympics to the whole of the UK.
When Mr Foy isn’t working he can be found spending time with his family and enjoying activities including swimming, cycling and ski-ing.
Mrs Blackman was first elected to Aberdeen City Council in 2007 when she was 21 before going on to become an MP. She is the depute leader of the SNP at Westminster and leads her group on the economy. She has two children aged four and six.
