The 2019 Northern Star Business Awards ceremony is shaping up to be one of the biggest to date.

Thirty-nine finalists, 13 awards and an expected 700 guests offer up the prospect of a spectacular night of celebration when the competition – now in its 16th year – reaches its climax at P&J Live on Thursday, September 26.

Among the accolades up for grabs are those marking achievements in customer service, international growth and marketing prowess.

The companies vying for the customer first award, sponsored by international software giant IFS, are Bon Accord Care, Caber Coffee and Donald Russell.

Each of these firms has been nominated for putting the interest of their customers at the heart of everything they do.

The going global award is for a north-east business which is making an impact overseas and successfully growing internationally. The nominees for this category are Add Energy and Motive Offshore Group.

Meanwhile, the marketing magic award – won last year by Aberdeen Football Club (AFC) and Big Partnership for their efforts to galvanise public support for AFC’s £50 million community sports hub, training facilities and new stadium – recognises successful campaigns that have driven customers through the door or grown exposure.

In the running for this year’s marketing magic gong are Ace Winches, Aberdeen International Airport, Charlie House and VisitAberdeenshire.

Organised by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The Press and Journal, the Northern Star Business Awards reflect the dynamic, progressive and diverse range of businesses operating around the north-east.

Next month’s awards ceremony will be the first at P&J Live, with people from organisations of all shapes and sizes, and operating across a wide range of sectors, gathering to see who has landed one of the coveted titles.

Tickets for the prestigious event can be booked at agcc.co.uk or by calling the chamber events team on 01224 343912.
