Rod Stewart will take to the stage at the AECC tonight – and will be the last act that ever will.

Tonight’s gig will be the final one to be held at the Aberdeen venue, with its replacement – P&J Live – due to open later this year.
A special outdoor, fully seated arena has been built for the one-off show with fans from across the country expected to descend on the Granite City.
Next week we welcome a true musical legend in Sir @RodStewart as we wave goodbye in our final farewell to AECC for a special outdoor, one-off show.

With just hours to go before it all kicks off, here is everything you need to know:
When does it start?
Doors open at 5pm. The musical acts are due on stage from 7pm and the show will end no later than 11pm.
Who is the support act?
Johnny Mac and the Faithful have been unveiled as the special guest act to support rock legend Sir Rod Stewart during his summer tour.

What is the forecast for tonight?
As it is outdoors – and it is Scotland – you’d be advised to take a jacket in case the weater isn’t the best. Large umbrellas are not allowed into the venue or can be used in the venue or concert area.
The forecast on the Met Office website for the Grampian area reads:
A cool, cloudy day. Some patchy, mainly light rain though a few heavier bursts may arrive in the evening. Fresh to strong north or northeast breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
At the time the show is kicking off, there is a 50% chance of rain forecasted – so we’ll keep our fingers crossed it stays dry!
Is there parking on site?
Parking is extremely limited at the venue so visitors are advised to use public transport. There is a ‘Gig n Go’ bus service in operation from Aberdeen city centre.
