Much-loved family entertainers Funbox have said a fond farewell to their north-east fans, going out with a roar at their Jungle Party in the Music Hall.
And, as with all Funbox concerts, the young audience got dressed up for the occasion with many of them turning up dressed as their favourite animals. Our photographer was there to capture the special atmosphere.
It was a bittersweet moment, because while everyone loved the big, bright and bold singalong fun, this was the last show for the group who have decided to call it a day.
However, Kevin Macleod and Anya Scott-Rodgers were determined to get back on the road one last time before they and Bonzo The Dog closed the Funbox for one last time.
Torphins-born Kevin said: “We were determined to not just stop, we had to say goodbye because right from the start people have been behind us and have been part of our story. We wouldn’t have had the past seven years without the support of the fans.”
While Jungle Party was the final Funbox show in Aberdeen, the much-loved group will be taking it to Elgin Town Hall on Sunday August 7.
They will then return for one final north-east show when they bring Funky Farm to the Bettridge Centre on September 11.
A week later they will have their Final Fling in Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall.
