The artist formerly known as Hugo Boss will bring his new show to Aberdeen.

Comedian Joe Lycett will soon travel to Aberdeen with his first stand-up show in the Granite City in years.

From what his new show is about to where to park near the venue, here’s everything you need to know about Joe Lycett’s Aberdeen show.

When and where will Joe Lycett perform?

Joe Lycett will take to the Music Hall stage on Friday August 12 and Saturday August 13. The show – which will mark the funnyman’s first performance in Aberdeen since 2018 – is set to start at 7.30pm.

What is his show about?

Following the success of his stand-up show That’s The Way A-Ha A-Ha, Joe Lycett (2016) and I’m About to Lose Control And I Think Joe Lycett (2018), the Birmingham-based comedian is now back on the road with More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett?

Once again taking inspiration from a popular song, his first tour in years promises to be packed with more jokes, more comedy anecdotes and even more inappropriate and arguably disturbing paintings.

The upcoming gig will most likely see Joe comment on his attention-grabbing gags including leaking a fake version of the Sue Gray report, and inviting the Lord Mayor of Birmingham to open his new kitchen extension.

He also changed his name by deed poll briefly to Hugo Boss in a protest against the fashion brand.

What is Joe Lycett best known for?

A popular figure on the comedy circuit and a TV personality, Joe is well known for his genius way to get out of a parking ticket – a story he told on Channel 4 mash-up show 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Joe has also previously appeared on Live At The Apollo, Taskmaster, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and QI.

He has also presented BBC’s The Great Sewing Bee and his consumer show Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back.

How do I get to the Music Hall and where can I park?

Aberdeen’s Music Hall is located on Union Street, within a few minutes’ walk from the bus and train stations. If you are travelling by car, there is nearby parking on Golden Square, and the Chapel Street multi-storey car park.

Where can I book tickets to see Joe Lycett in Aberdeen?

Joe Lycett will entertain Aberdeen fans on Friday August 12 and Saturday August 13. A limited number of tickets is still available.
