YOU’VE CRAMMED SO MUCH INTO THE LAST YEAR SINCE WINNING THE X FACTOR, HOW ARE YOU… TIRED?

It’s been an amazing year and yes, I am tired but name me a mother of three who isn’t!

DO YOU HAVE TO PINCH YOURSELF WHEN YOU THINK HOW FAR YOU’VE COME?

Every day! It makes me feel so grateful.

WHY DID YOU RE-RELEASE YOUR DEBUT ALBUM THE POWER OF LOVE?

I originally wanted to release a Christmas album. However, due to being pregnant, I didn’t have the time to record it all! My label then suggested we re-release my debut album and repackage it to include my favourite Christmas songs, which is what we have done.

YOU WERE A PRISON OFFICER BEFORE BECOMING A SINGER – WHAT MADE YOU AUDITION FOR THE X FACTOR?

It was mainly seeing my children watch the show the year before, I just knew I wanted to audition and give it one more shot. Luckily I did!

SUPPORTING BEYONCE MUST BE UP THERE WITH YOUR BEST MEMORIES SINCE WINNING THE SHOW…

Singing Ain’t No Mountain High Enough with Michael Bolton at the NTAs and opening for Beyonce have been amazing moments in my career, but nothing describes how fantastic it felt to see my album and single go to Number 1.

HOW ARE YOU FINDING JUGGLING WORK AND MOTHERHOOD TO ENSURE YOU GET GOOD QUALITY FAMILY TIME?

It can be difficult to find the right balance, but I always make time for my family and when I can’t, I make it up to them or bring them along with me wherever it is that I’m going.

YOU’VE RECENTLY RELEASED YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY – WAS GETTING THAT OUT QUITE IMPORTANT TO YOU?

It was really important to me because I wanted my fans and everyone to see how far I have come and understand that it really hasn’t been an easy ride for me to get where I am today.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO BEN HAENOW, LAST YEAR’S X FACTOR WINNER?

You need to stay grounded, be prepared to work hard and most importantly be respectful.

WHAT ELSE IS COMING UP FOR YOU IN THE NEXT FEW MONTHS?

I’ll be getting ready to go on tour – I’m playing shows all across the UK and really looking forward to it!
