The work of an award-winning Aberdeenshire artist is being featured in an online exhibition.

Born in 1958, Chris Bushe spent his childhood in Tornaveen before studying drawing and painting at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen from 1980 to 1984.

Since becoming a full-time artist in 1996, Mr Bushe has exhibited regularly in Edinburgh, Glasgow and London and his works are held in public and private collections worldwide.

Now an online exhibition entitled Light on the Land will showcase a wide variety of Mr Bushe’s new paintings for art-lovers across the world to enjoy.

Chris Buche

The majority of the paintings in the exhibition focus on the landscapes of his childhood in the north-east.

Ballater, Midmar and Tarland are just a few of the locations featured, with the work studying the effect of winter light on rivers, forestry and gorselands.
