The best and brightest talent in the world of sport will be in Aberdeen this month – and you could upgrade your night with the gold medal experience.

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year ceremony will take place in Aberdeen for the first time at the new event complex P&J Live on Sunday, 15 December.

Presenters Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan will take to the stage to celebrate the year of sport in front of an audience of 10,000, with millions more watching live on BBC One.

Arriving at P&J Live at 2pm at the VIP check in, you’ll attend a special champagne reception. Then you’ll be whisked into the banqueting suite, where you’ll be treated to a three course meal and a pre-show exclusive Q&A hosted by sporting legends.

Once it’s time for the show to start you’ll be seated in a premium area of the arena so you won’t miss a moment of the festivities.

Afterwards enjoy some post-show nibbles and entertainment.

The nominees for this year’s Sports Personality of the Year award are athletes Dina Asher-Smith and Katarina Johnson-Thompson, cricketer Ben Stokes, Formula 1’s Lewis Hamilton, footballer Raheem Sterling and rugby union’s Alun Wyn Jones.
