An Aberdeen legal company plans to donate £200 to cancer charity Friends of Anchor for every home they sell in the month of June.

Stronachs LLP will make the donation from their property selling-on fee if the seller quotes ‘Friends of Anchor’ when listing a property with the company.

The announcement comes as Stronachs begin a 12-month campaign to support Friends of Anchor.

Staff have been set the target of raising £20,000 for the charity and teams from Stronachs have already signed up to take part in the Baker Hughes 10k Running Festival, Simplyhealth Great Aberdeen Run, Glack Attack, Ride the North, Run Balmoral and Anchor Wipeout challenges over the next year.

They will also host a second annual ladies’ afternoon tea party at Hazlehead Cafe on Friday, June 9.

Rhona Miller, senior finance and fundraising executive for Friends of Anchor, said: “We are thrilled with the tremendous support from Stronachs.

“The colleagues are truly engaged and have thrown themselves into some fantastic challenges and events to raise vital funds for the cause.”

Carol Crowther, partner at Stronachs, said: “Friends of Anchor provides invaluable support for those affected by cancer in the north-east.”
