This will be up-and-coming Danish comedian Hagen’s first time at the festival, and her biggest show in the Granite City to date.

Continuing the laughs into the week, Rob Broderick, aka Abandoman, and Christopher Macarthur-Boyd will entertain on October 8.

Britain’s Got Talent favourite Daliso Chaponda will perform his new show, Blah Blah Blacklist, on October 13.

Adrian Watson, chief executive of Aberdeen Inspired, said: “We are proud to have secured new talent on the rise such as Sofie Hagen and established names like Stuart Goldsmith for the Aberdeen International Comedy Festival.

“Adding names like this, along with Men with Coconuts, who are making a welcome return to Aberdeen, Mr Fibbers, Abandoman, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd and of course Daliso Chaponda, is a big coup for the festival.
