There are 13 new gin producers on Speyside.

A new gin festival will be taking place this summer in Moray.

The Spirit of Speyside Gin Experience aims to celebrate the very best of the region’s producers who will join together in the beautiful, historic surroundings of Gordon Castle Walled Garden in Fochabers for a day of gin and tonics, cocktails, music and food.

Drinks including Avva, Byron’s, Caorunn, Daffy’s, Duncan’s, Eight Lands, El-gin, Gordon Castle, Inschriach, Kinrara, Red Door and Tenacious will be available to sample, and a number of masterclasses will also be staged.

Although the main Gin Experience takes place at Gordon Castle with two sessions on July 13 – one from noon until 4pm and the other from 6 to 10pm – other gin-themed events will be staged at venues throughout the Speyside region on July 12 and 14.

Tickets for the main event on the Saturday, priced £20 and including six 10ml samples of gin, are available now at www.speysideginexperience.com.

There is also an opportunity to buy bus transport directly to the venue from the region’s main towns when purchasing tickets.

Additional events that form part of the overall Gin Experience programme will be individually priced and announced on the website.
