Last night more than 120 people were invited to a sneak preview of the latest restaurant to hit Aberdeen, Six by Nico, ahead of its opening this Thursday.

Scottish restaurateur Nico Simeone is bringing his six-course tasting menu concept to the city and in the lead up to launching his first restaurant north of the Scottish borders, is hosting a range of launch parties to help prepare his staff.

The venue, which is located on Union Street in the former Topolabamba unit, will seat 67 and has an additional 60 seats in its bar area. The Aberdeen venue is the second Six by Nico restaurant to have a cocktail bar based within it.

Nico’s restaurant concept is well known for making tasting menus affordable, with a price point of £37 for six-courses.

Paired wines can be added for an additional £30.

Undergoing a complete refit, those who were familiar with Topolabamba’s colourful interior will notice a big difference inside. A sleek new modern interior has replaced the former venue’s nod to Mexico, however it still boasts bright and bold colours with accents of teal and pinks throughout.

Everyone from Aberdeen Football Club stars to Aberdeen rapper Ransom FA, media and influencers attended the event. All guests were treated to The Chipper six-course meal with paired wines.
