Beer, cocktails and spirits will be the focus of the tasting events.
Beer, cocktails and spirits will be the focus of the tasting events.

Taste of Grampian showcases the best of local food and drink and what better way to experience the festival than at one of the tasting events.

The drinks experiences will give festivalgoers the chance to sample a range of different spirits, cocktails and beers at the event at P&J Live in Aberdeen on Saturday June 4.

Partnering with north-east business Brewdog, the brewer and distiller will host two sessions. One will be focused around beer and the second will be focused around their spirits offering.

Scotland canned cocktail firm Angels Dare brings something a little different to the table and those attending their session will enjoy a range of their delicious cocktails.

And coming all the way from Orkney is Orkney Distilling. The team will, of course, share their journey into the gin world and will also have a number of samples to hand for festivalgoers to enjoy.

All of the tickets are priced at £11.50 per session and every 45-minute session is hosted by the team behind each of the businesses.

Those attending must be aged 18 and over and all of the tasting events will take place in Tasting Room 1.

Orkney Distilling Ltd was founded in 2016 by local couple, Stephen and Aly Kemp, who sought a way of combining their passion for gin with the pride they hold in their Orcadian heritage.

Reflecting the boldness of their Norse ancestors, the clarity of the seas and the purity of the air, Kirkjuvagr is a multi-award winning, hand-crafted Orkney gin for the modern, discerning gin enthusiast.

A union of history and local expertise, combined with the family’s passion for gin, has produced a spirit that’s unmistakably Orcadian.
