Rural living is lure to success of this new housing development

The strong desire among home buyers to return to country living, as indicated by a Housing Futures research survey, is underlined by the popularity of Chanonry Park, the attractive Tulloch Homes development in Fortrose on the Black Isle.

The increasing trend for a state of the art new home in a traditional rural environment sees Chanonry Park complemented by other Tulloch countryside developments at Braes of Conon and Broomhill, Muir of Ord.

Chanonry Park, which will soon enter its final phase, is located in a charming shoreline village and enjoys pleasant views. Fortrose also has an attractive harbour, golf course and sandy beach, from which you can watch the dolphins and porpoises leaping in the Moray Firth.

Yet it is within easy proximity, via the Kessock Bridge, to Inverness and major regional amenities.

The Affric three-bedroom detached villa with garage, priced from £235,000, is one of the homes for sale within the current phase at Chanonry Park, as well as being available in the newly-released phase at Broomhill.

“The Affric is one of our most popular house types and represents excellent value,” said Lynne Boyd, Tulloch Homes’ sales director.

“It has an airy lounge with access to the kitchen and dining room. Upstairs, there are three good-sized bedrooms with built-in storage. The master bedroom is en-suite while there is also a family bathroom with shower.

“This design has been extremely successful in Inverness and has transferred to a rural location with equal popularity.”

Also available among the homes in the current phase is the Tarvie four-bedroom detached home at £267,000 – and a Tarvie showhome is planned for the summer.

The four-bedroom detached Lochalsh, with garage, priced at £320,000, is also currently available, with completion due in July. Chanonry Park’s final phase of 17 homes will feature a mix of three and four-bedroom villas and bungalows, being rolled out from early summer.

Braes of Conon, at Conon Bridge, is another relaxing rural development which is proving a particularly consistent seller.

A new phase of two, three and four-bedroom homes, including bungalows has just been released. Lynne said: “We’re delighted with the initial response.”

The Affric showhome opens at Braes of Conon later this year. For more immediate occupation, a spacious Paterson four-bedroom detached villa and garage is now open to view.

The Paterson, at £275,000, enjoys a large family-sized lounge with dining room, open-plan kitchen/breakfast room with double oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher and with an internal floor area of 1,523 square metres, represents exceptional value.

Conon Bridge has a rail link, making it convenient for commuters, plus a primary school and a recently opened neighbourhood supermarket adjacent to the development. Broomhill has issued a new release, a fine selection of three and four-bedroom villas and bungalows, starting from £215,000 for the three-bedroom detached Kinglass and also featuring the Murray.
