A popular Aberdeen music festival has announced a stellar headline act for their next event.

Enjoy Music Festival, which is held in Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen, will play host to chart toppers Chase & Status in 2017.

The popular festival has renewed its focus this on being local and accessible and organisers say the electronic duo will provide a fantastic experience for the live crowd.

Mark Lenthall, the event’s marketing director, said: “Chase & Status are sensational live and that’s really important to us.

“It’s all about having great live acts for the audience.”

The announcement comes following news that this year’s festival will be more family friendly than previous years and will no allow under-18s to attend.

Mark said: “We’re broadening the festival layout. We’ll still have the bars and the dancing but not everyone will want that.

“There’s also going to be a funfair as well as a retro stage.”

He added: “We’re introducing a family ticket which will mean children can effectively go free.

“It’s great value for money.”

Tickets for the festival are to go on sale at 9am tomorrow. More headline acts will be announced in the coming months.
