An audio experience has been created to accompany a walk around Wester Ross’ stunning Inverewe Gardens.

Part of the new Wise Women and the Earth exhibition, the recording draws on stories and folklore to take visitors on a tour of the National Trust for Scotland’s award-winning attraction.

The exhibition features the work of six female artists who have explored themes relating to nature, the outdoors and the environment, based on their experiences at Inverewe.

Inverewe operations manager Kevin Frediani said: “This exhibition and the audio guide is the result of a very exciting collaborative exhibition by some incredibly talented and diverse artists.

“We are so proud that Inverewe has provided such a rich seam of inspiration for them and the work we’re showcasing is completely steeped in their experience of one of Scotland’s national and natural treasures.”

The Wise Women and the Earth exhibition runs until October 31 and features the work of Ann Coomber, Lynn Bennet-Mackenzie, Dorje-Khandro David, Mandy Haggith, Joanne B Kaar, and Katherine Sutherland.

They have used song, poetry and spoken word to evoke the environment, history and community found at Inverewe – a lush oasis perched on a peninsula on the shores of Loch Ewe.
