The Maastricht master – Andre Rieu Returns Home

Acknowledged as one of the greatest musical performers in the World, Dutch-born Andre Rieu is a classically trained, accomplished violinist, an excellent conductor and a truly great showman.

He’s recently announced that next summer he will once again return to his hometown of Maastricht for spectacular outdoor concerts. Instead of watching on television, why not try and attend the live show for yourself?

We find out more about what the experience might be like…

Andre Rieu’s rise to fame and prominence in the last five to ten years has been as spellbinding as one of his live shows. According to his record company, Andre has sold more than 30 million CDs and DVDs around the world!

With his UK winter tour fast approaching and only limited tickets remaining – Andre is performing this December in London, Birmingham and Glasgow – fans of the ‘Waltz King of Europe’ are now shifting their attention towards his summer shows in Europe, especially the performance in his hometown of Maastricht.

Each year, the elite entertainer performs in Vrijthof Square, in the cultural backdrop of this beautiful town. These magical Maastricht performances are now some of Andre’s most popular in his yearly schedule.

The distinguished Dutchman appears on stage with his orchestra, choir, soloists and special guests.  He brings a delightful and innovative approach to his concerts, recreating the atmosphere of 19th century Viennese Dance Halls.

There is something extra special about his home-town performances in Maastricht, rapt audiences sway with the music, hum along and even dance in the aisles – it all happens!

During the concert you will hear music from across the star’s repertiore, from his first major album, ‘Strauss & Co’, to his soon to be released, ‘What A Wonderful World – Music For A Better World’.

Are you a fan of Andre? Why don’t you join us for a wonderful not-to-be-missed experience of a lifetime.
