A second round of public consultations will take place next week, outlining revised proposals for a new wind farm in Aberdeenshire.
The original scheme for 37 turbines at the Fasque and Glendye Estate has been reduced by nearly a third – to 26 – since the initial consultation in June.
The proposed facility will be located between Fettercairn and Strachan within the Aberdeenshire boundary.
Coriolis Energy will be holding two exhibitions on behalf of Glendye Wind Farm Ltd at Strachan Village Hall and one at Fettercairn Church Hall next week.
Along with updated plans, a 3-D model will be on display to demonstrate how the wind farm will impact on the landscape from all angles.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to fill in comment cards which developers will use to help shape and inform the proposals, prior to a planning application being submitted next spring.
Coriolis Energy Development Manager, James Baird said: “We were delighted with the turnout at the first round of public exhibitions and would like to thank all those who provided feedback, as it has contributed importantly to the revised 26-turbine layout that will be on show.
“We look forward to once again welcoming members of the public and gathering feedback from the local community and all those with an interest in the proposed wind farm.
“There are several options for distributing funds for the benefit of the community and we welcome feedback on information from the local community on this.”
The public exhibitions are at Strachan Village Hall on Tuesday, November 29, between 3pm and 8pm, and at Fettercairn Church Hall on Wednesday, November 30, between the same times.
