VIDEO: Star of popular US sitcom surprises small Highland village’s karaoke night

A star of one of the world’s most popular sitcoms surprised residents of a small Highland village when she joined them for a karaoke night.

Hannah Simone, who plays former model Cece as part of an ensemble cast on New Girl, visited the very north of Scotland earlier this week.

The stunning 36-year-old visited the small village of Lybster, Caithness, and indulged in the local whisky Old Pulteney as merry revellers sang the folk song Willie McBride.

In a post on Instagram, she described her night at the Commercial Hotel in the small village as “the only way to do a Saturday night in Scotland”.

The actress then ventured to the ‘tippy tip of Scotland’ as she posed beside the famous sign at John O’Groats.

Mrs Simone quoted the Belinda Carlisle hit Heaven is a Place on Earth as she celebrated her visit to the Old Pulteney distillery in Wick on Tuesday.
