A West Highland lifeboat was launched today to get a sick elderly man to hospital from a remote peninsular.
The Mallaig lifeboat went out at about 5.15pm to transfer the man who was suffering from heat exhaustion on the Knoydart peninsular to the mainland for hospital treatment.
The man who is in his 70s was taken to the hospital in Fort William after the alarm was raised with the lifeboat crew.
It is unclear if the man was visiting the area or lives locally.
