A 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged following an incident in a car park on Shetland.
Police said it involved a van and a pedestrian, and happened off Holmsgarth Road, Lerwick, at around 7.05pm last night.
The 70-year-old male pedestrian was taken to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The man has been charged with a number of road traffic offences and remains in police custody. A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
