A former island councillor accused of sexually assaulting a woman at the Callanish Standing Stones in Lewis eight years ago faces trial.
Donald John Macrae of South Shawbost, Lewis, is also charged with a sex assault on a different female in Stornoway town centre in September.
In addition, the 46-year-old is claimed to have made sexually explicit remarks to three women.
Macrae faces allegations of assaulting one person on the Pentland Road and Barvas – Ness roads on day last summer and another assault on a different individual at the Braighe in Point in 2011.
He denied all seven charges against him when his case called at Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday.
Sheriff David Sutherland set trial for two days in August.
The former Labour councillor served the Harris and South Lochs ward from 2012 until last year.
